The board of SCB Italy is pleased to announce an opportunity for all early career researchers! In view of the 2nd Conference on Conservation Biology for Early Career Researchers (ECR2025), SCB Italy is offering 10 scholarships. Each scholarship is worth 200 euros gross. This support aims to allow even the youngest to actively participate in this extraordinary event on biodiversity conservation.

Participation Requirements:
– Be members of the Society for Conservation Biology Italy Chapter.
* During the selection process, priority will be given to students enrolled in degree courses or to ECRs without funds.

The deadline for submitting applications is January 15, 2025 (11:59 p.m.).

Application Procedure:

The form requires the preparation of a motivational statement. You should briefly explain your personal motivation for participating in this event. You need to send an extended abstract of approximately 500 words, relating to the work that you intend to present at the conference. Please also include your CV (maximum of two pages in PDF format).

Selection:

An internal committee of SCB Italy will evaluate applications. The evaluation is based on the quality of the extended abstract. It also considers the transversal experiences and motivations of the candidate. We will contact the people who win scholarships by email.
